 RACE LOCATION-BACK IN OLD TOWN—Run for the fun and for the benefits: Your health (exercise), Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation (fundraising) and maybe your pride (awards). The 40th Annual Tower Trot will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 27. Open to all ages and abilities using CARA age categories for awards. Registration is required and includes t-shirt, refreshments and entertainment.

Time:            8:30 a.m.—10K (6.2 mile) and Double Run (10K and 5K)
                     8:45 a.m.—Fun Run (< a mile)
                     9:30 a.m.—5K (3.1 mile)
Start/Finish:  Grand Avenue Community Center, 4211 Grand Avenue

40th Anniversary T-shirt Logo Design Contest

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Western Springs Tower Trot, the Recreation Department is sponsoring a t-shirt logo design contest for children in Grades 3-5.  Entries must be on the Official Entry Form (also available at the Recreation Office and District 101, 106 and St. John of the Cross virtual backpacks). Entry forms are due by Monday, March 6, 2017.  The winning design will be featured on the 2017 race t-shirts.  Winner will be notified by email.  For more details, please see the Official Entry Form.


Online registration is available at until 12 noon on Friday, May 26, 2017.  The registration form will be available March 1, 2017. 

Race Day
Register in person starting at 7 a.m. at the Grand Avenue Community Center, 4211 Grand Avenue, Western Springs. 10K, "The Double" and Fun Run registrations are open until 8 a.m. and 5K registration is open until 9 a.m. Late arrivals on race day will not be eligible for awards.

Race Packets
Prior to race day, numbers, t-shirts and information can be picked up at the Recreation Center during the following hours:
    12 noon–4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017
     9 a.m.–8 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017
     9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017
On race day, race packets will only be available at Grand Avenue Community Center. Doors open at 7 am.

Goodie Bag—Virtual
Experience our GREEN goodie bag, as we help to reduce our waste footprint! The bag opens on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Review sponsors and what they have to offer. Remember to select SAVE on any offer you may be interested in before the bag closes on June 11, 2017. Your saves can still be used after the close date.
