Have you wondered what the Pickleball craze is all about?  It's one of the fastest growing sports in the USA!  Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. The Recreation Dept. offers pickleball clinics for beginners through advanced (indoor or outdoor (in Summer)), drop-in pickleball at the Rec Center where you pay as you go, and a pickleball tournament in the Fall.  The Park District offers outdoor pickleball courts at Northeast Park, 114 W. 39th Street, Western Springs (near Odgen and Willow Springs Road).

The Recreation Dept is offering:

1.  Outdoor Clinic and Skills and Drills Challenge at Northeast Park.

2.  Clinics (Beginner or Intermediate-Advanced)

3.  Skills & Drills Challenges (Intermediate-Advanced)

4.  Drop-in Pickleball (October-December)
