2018 Roadway Program - Utility Conflict on Johnson, Work will move to Lawn

The contractor will be moving to Lawn Avenue to begin underground work on Friday, August 17, 2019, weather permitting. Today, the contractor encountered shallow ComEd utilities that directly conflicted with drainage structures planned for the intersection of 45th Street and Johnson Avenue. The conflicts require coordination with ComEd before the work can occur. Therefore, the contractor has no additional work to complete on Johnson Avenue at this time. They plan to move to Lawn Avenue and Elm St. to begin the installation of the relief sewer. Residents should not expect to lose driveway access unless the contractor is working directly in front of your home. The contractor will knock on doors prior to any temporary loss of access. Please refrain from parking on the street during construction hours. Please wave down a worker if you are entering or exiting your driveway and they will help assist you if needed. Please travel carefully while construction crews are present as there will be workers and heavy equipment on-site.

The contractor is also planning on completing some minor underground sewer work near Burlington Avenue. They will continue to maintain traffic as much as possible during this repair. A temporary loss of on-street parking may occur when heavy equipment is present.
