[ARCHIVED] 2018 Roadway Program - Spring Work Starting in April

The contractor is tentatively scheduled to return to Johnson Avenue and Lawn Avenue in April. The exact date is not yet determined, and will be finalized once it is certain that freezing temperatures will not return. The following items will be completed this spring:

  • Concrete Repairs - Concrete cracking always occurs in projects of this size and scope after the first winter. The contractor is financially responsible to make repairs to areas and will do so this spring. This item also includes the replacement of any sidewalk damaged during construction.
  • Landscaping Items - All parkways will be re-graded and topsoil and sod will be installed. Areas on the resident side of the sidewalk will be repaired as well if damaged. The contractor will also install trees and landscaping items on Lawn Avenue.
  • Pavement Striping - Stop sign and crosswalk pavement marking will be installed at each intersection. Lawn Avenue will include additional pavement striping for parking.
  • Post Office Drive Resurfacing - Post Office Drive will undergo an asphalt grind and resurface. The contractor completed all concrete items in this area in 2018. Post Office Drive is not intended to undergo any long term closures. Partial closures will occur when the existing pavement is being removed and replaced.
