2019 Roadway Program - Official Start Date

The 2019 Roadway Program will officially begin on July 8, 2019, weather permitting. The contractor has elected to work on one street at a time in order to focus their crews on one project area. Below is a tentative schedule for both Clausen and Lawn. Please remember that the dates below can shift for a large variety of reasons (i.e utility conflicts, weather, construction delays, construction ahead of schedule, etc.). Additional updates will be sent out if there are significant changes to the project timeline.

Clausen Avenue (Ogden to 41st)

  • Water Main and Sewer Repair: July 8, 2019 - Early August
  • Pavement Removal and Replacement: Early August - Late September
  • Parkway Restoration: Fall (or earlier if weather permits)

Lawn Avenue (47th to Elm) *contractor may elect to perform this work sooner if they complete Clausen work ahead of schedule*

  • Relief Sewer Installation and Sewer Repair: Mid September - Early October
  • Pavement Removal and Replacement: Early October - Early November
  • Parkway Restoration: Fall (or earlier if weather permits)

Underground water main and sewer work will minimally impact driveway access. Residents will still be able to utilize their driveway during this phase of the project. Please understand that the roadway may be inaccessible at times during the normal working day. Full access to the roadway will be established each evening and on weekends.

Pavement removal and replacement will remove access from your driveway when work is being performed on your side. Tentatively, the contractor is planning on removing and replacing the east lane of each roadway first, before moving to the west lane. One lane, one-way northbound, will be available after working hours or on weekends. Information on overnight parking locations, and other general information, is available at the project website (2019 Roadway Referendum Project).

The golf cart service information will be available in a future update as the pavement removal and replacement portion of the project draws closer.
