The removal of the west lane of Clausen Avenue (Ogden to 41st) is tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, October 3, 2019. The concrete strength tests for the east lane of Clausen are trending toward a full re-opening tomorrow. Strength tests will be performed tomorrow morning and the contractor may begin removing portions of the west lane as early as tomorrow afternoon, pending testing results. Another update will be sent out tomorrow if the east lane is being re-opened for public use. The first pass of west lane removals will only focus on the 2-4" of asphalt on the surface. Residents will still be able to access west side driveways tomorrow, but there will be a 2-4" bump between the roadway and your driveway aprons. Overnight on-street parking is available if you are more comfortable steering clear of the construction site.
West lane driveway access will officially be unavailable beginning on Friday, October 4, at 7:00AM, weather permitting. All residents on the west side of Clausen should have vehicles removed from driveways by 7:00AM on that day. Overnight parking will be allowed for all displaced residents until the west lane is completed. Please reference the parking map linked below for available locations.
