PINK LEVEL—The emphasis of this program is to develop the girl within the sport of lacrosse. The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship, and foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. Practices are one day per week on Wednesdays at Spring Dale Park on 53rd and Wolf Rd and games will be played on Sunday afternoons between 12 pm and 5 pm at various locations. These levels are for players with any amount of experience.

PURPLE LEVEL—Purple teams compete at a higher skill level. Experienced players interested in the Purple level must attend a Skills Assessment session in January/February and will receive notification of their placement before registering with their Park District. Girls who played Purple during the spring 2018 season DO NOT need to attend an assessment and do not need to wait to register with their park district. Practices are twice per week for Purple on M&W at Spring Dale Park. Games are held on Sunday afternoons between 12:00 pm & 5pm, with Purple requiring further travel as there are fewer teams at this level. Dates and registration for the Skills Assessment can be found on iglax.org.

Volunteers—If you have an interest in being a Parent Volunteer Coach, click on our volunteer tab at IGLA website-NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Training classes available.

Please Note: The participant must bring the Recreation Department-paid receipt to the first day of the league as proof of payment.

Each player must have goggles, a stick, and a mouth guard for practices and games. Go to IGLA website for general equipment information. Equipment packages are available for purchase. Practice locations, schedules and important info will be posted at IGLA website – visit periodically for updates.
