Fair Elms Avenue, 53rd Street to the cul-de-sac, will undergo concrete rehabilitation. Concrete rehabilitation is an extensive patching process targets concrete panels, joints, and damaged areas. Similar projects were completed on northern sections of Fair Elms Avenue in 2015 and 2016. The project will occur in two phases: the east lane and the west lane. Fair Elms Avenue will become a one-way street, northbound, for the duration of the project.
Residents with patching directly in front of their driveways may lose vehicular access for 7-10 days. These patches will require the removal and replacement of a portion of the adjacent driveway apron. Residents at the following addresses are expected to lose access:
5440 Fair Elms
5437 Fair Elms
5425 Fair Elms
5308 Fair Elms
5332 Fair Elms
5417 Fair Elms
5305 Fair Elms
Residents who lose access are allowed to park on-street on adjacent side streets or in areas on Fair Elms that are free of construction equipment and do not block the flow of traffic.
