Lacrosse
Come learn the game of Lacrosse with the coaches from Western Springs Lacrosse, now entering its 23rd year and one of the longest running club programs in Illinois. Our coaches will show players and parents the basics of Lacrosse, along with ways to get involved with the fastest growing sport in America!
Lacrosse continues to be a growing sport and the Recreation Department continues to provide children, both experienced and inexperienced, a place to develop and improve their lacrosse skills. We offer travel and non-travel (house) programs to children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Last year, over 500 boys and girls participated in our various programs and leagues. The focus of our programs is to teach sound lacrosse fundamentals and practice good sportsmanship in an environment where everybody plays. Spring is our primary season, with summer, fall and indoor winter programs also available.
Lacrosse Boys House League
The house league is the best program for beginner-intermediate players. The house league is a great way to continue your lacrosse experience in a way that emphasizes the fundamentals and grow your stick skills, while still having competition with players your age. Sunday practices may have games/scrimmages instead of practices.
