Lieutenant Jacobson has battled ALS since being diagnosed in 2011 with the courage and dignity reserved for true heroes. His battle ended Tuesday June 20, 2017. Lieutenant Jacobson was appointed in 2005 and remained involved and on the active roster for the past 12 years until his passing. Memorial bunting will be hung as well as the Fire Department flag will be lowered to half-mast at both Fire Stations. Both tributes will remain in place for 30 days.
