ComED will be relocating the overhead utility lines underground on Burlington Avenue from Central Avenue to Waldo Erikson Drive. Partial and full lane closures on Burlington Avenue from Central Avenue heading west may occur during the day at some locations. Full roadway access will be re-established at the end of each construction day (approximately 4:30 pm) to allow for access into the park for evening activities.
Some of the excavation work will also impact the commuter parking. ComED and their contractor (Intren) may be closing groups of parking stalls during the construction due to the proximity of their equipment to the vehicles. ComED has prepared flyers that are being placed on commuter cars and at the train station.
Work is anticipated to take approximately four weeks.
