[ARCHIVED] Woodland Avenue Reconstruction: Contractor has struck an AT&T 50 pair underground cable

Attention to all residents located on Woodland Avenue. This afternoon the contractor struck a shallow AT&T 50 pair communications cable on Woodland Avenue between Hillgrove Avenue and Walnut Street. The cable was JULIE located, but was located just under the existing pavement as opposed to the standard 3-6' of depth for a cable of its size. AT&T crews are currently en route for the repair, but residents in the Old Town area may experience a disruption in their phone or internet service until the line is repaired.

There is no immediate or expected danger from this line. Residents should be able to access their homes and northbound Woodland Avenue with minimal additional disruption.
