Installation of the Transmission Main for the well #5 construction project is tentatively scheduled to begin on July 8th. Construction is anticipated to take approximately three weeks.
A new 12" water main will be mechanically bored from Field Park to the Water Treatment Plant located at Johnson Avenue and Hillgrove Avenue. The main will be installed near the south curb line of Hillgrove Avenue. Angled parking along the south side of Hillgrove Avenue will be inaccessible between Johnson Avenue to Howard Avenue through the duration of the construction. Parking along the north side of Hillgrove Avenue will be largely unaffected, except near Field Park and the Water Treatment Plant, where localized work across the street may require periodic closures of additional parking spaces.
Hillgrove Avenue is anticipated to remain open through most of the project with traffic control in place, however periods of a full road closure may be required while crews excavate perpendicular to the street at Field Park and Johnson Avenue.
Additional information regarding traffic control, detours and project schedules is anticipated to be available the week of 06/17/19.
