The Well No. 4 scheduled maintenance was completed this weekend and the water department was able to reintroduce the well to distribution. The first 48 hours of reintroduction require the water department to monitor pressure and flow prior to sending the well through the reverse osmosis membranes. Well No. 4 is undergoing chemical treatment; however, some residents may notice minimal aesthetic issues during this transition period. Drinking water has met all IEPA standards during this transition. Well No. 4 will be brought back through the reverse osmosis membranes by noon on Monday, and drinking water will be free from aesthetic issues, due to this transition, within 24 hours.
