As part of the Illinois Tollway’s reconstruction of the BNSF bridge, the Illinois Tollway is coordinating local watermain replacement and sewer work, as well as sidewalks and lighting, with the Village of Western Springs. This work began October 5 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of the year.
Construction will occur on Hillgrove Avenue between the public works facility and Prospect Avenue. A portion of Hillgrove Avenue has been closed to accommodate the work. A detour is posted via Walker Street and Hampton Avenue. Access to the Western Spring Service Club will be provided via Prospect Avenue.
A schedule is attached showing the anticipated work activities over the next few weeks. Further updates will be provided as construction progresses.
