The Village and the Contractor are targeting re-opening the street and east side driveways by the end of the day on Friday. This schedule assumes we receive lab testing reports that the concrete pavement has achieved design strength. If the lab testing shows the concrete has not obtained design strength we will need to wait longer to allow the concrete more time to cure before it is opened. Also if weather prevents the contractor from working on Friday then the re-opening would be delayed until next week. We'll provide an update if the planned Friday opening must be delayed.
The contractor expects to begin parkway landscaping work next week. That work is expected to take 2-3 weeks. Nicor Gas' landscaper will also be on site early next month to work on restoring yards disturbed by the gas main work that occurred earlier this summer.
Finally, If you have a sprinkler system we would appreciate it if you could mark your sprinkler heads this weekend. The best means to mark them would be to circle each head with white or pink spray paint. If your sprinkler system was damaged due to the construction and you have not already reported the damage, please report the damage to the project resident engineer Mike Hastings at 815 509 4454 or mhastings@hrgreen.com.
Thank you to all residents for your patience. The project is almost complete!
