Weather permitting, a survey crew from Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL) is planning to start topographic survey work in portions of Springdale, the week of January 24. The survey work is expected to last approximately 2 weeks, and will encompass the following locations in Springdale:
Franklin Avenue (Howard to 52nd Place)
Howard Avenue (Franklin to 52nd Place)
52nd Place (Howard to Caroline)
Springdale Park and portions of 53rd Street and Caroline Avenue adjacent to the park
The Village has engaged CCBEL to prepare Phase 2 Design Engineering Plans for stormwater infrastructure improvements that will be designed to address street flooding that occurs on the 5400 block of Franklin Avenue and at the intersection of 54th Street and Howard Avenue. The survey work will generally be contained to the Village right of way (sidewalk to sidewalk). The work will not impact traffic on local streets.
Please note that the survey work can’t begin until the ground is mostly free of snow cover. Work may be delayed if the ground is covered with snow.
Please contact Village Engineer Jeff Koza at 847-246-1800 ext. 202 with any questions.
