AT&T adjustment work continues and it appears to be nearing completion. The Contractor has completed utility potholing on 47th Street and is currently working on Central Avenue to locate existing utilities.
Tree Removals to Begin Next Week
The Contractor has advised the Village they expect to begin tree removals the week of August 22nd. It is anticipated that tree removal work will begin along the storm sewer outfall construction access path which is located on an existing easement that runs along the west edge of the of Boone Animal Hospital and Bright Horizons properties between Commonwealth Drive and the proposed storm sewer outfall just south of 47th Street. This access path is needed so construction equipment and materials can install the new storm sewer outfall just south of 47th Street at Flagg Creek. Tree removal work on the south side of 47th Street that is needed for the storm sewer outfall will be completed as well as removals along the north side embankment of 47th Street. Tree removals on the west side of Central between Elm and 47th Street will also be completed. Trees located on park district property along 47th Street will remain.
After tree removals are completed, the Contractor advised they expect to begin storm sewer construction near 47th and Flagg Creek. The sewer work to construct the outfall and the crossing of 47th Street is expected to take a several weeks.
