The Capital Infrastructure Plan will be a comprehensive review of all Village infrastructure to estimate project costs and prioritization for capital projects. Capital projects are identified as projects that improve on the Village’s infrastructure (i.e. roadway construction, storm sewer improvements, municipal buildings, etc.). Infrastructure categories include, but are not limited to: Roadway; Water Production/Distribution; Sewer (Storm, Sanitary, Combined); Sidewalk/Pedestrian/Bike; Municipal Properties; Street Lighting; and Fiber Optic Network.
The plan will focus on a risk assessment of each infrastructure item, public involvement, sustainability, and grant funding opportunities.
The Village, in cooperation with engineering firm Baxter & Woodman, has developed a short video presentation to explain the Capital Infrastructure Plan. In the short introductory video (<3 minutes) President Gallagher provides a brief overview of the Village's Capital Infrastructure Plan and asks residents to provide feedback on their infrastructure improvement priorities. A second, more lengthy video, delves into the complexity of the infrastructure assessment in all categories.
The first opportunity for public involvement is in the form of a brief survey. Please use this link to access the survey and provide feedback: Capital Infrastructure Plan - Public Survey
