The Cook County Board of Review is open for property valuation appeals for Lyons Township from February 27, 2023 until March 28, 2023. The evidence deadline is April 11, 2023.
Cook County Board of Review offers an outreach program to explain the property tax appeal process and works directly with homeowners to prepare their appeals.
The following workshop is available in Lyons Township:
6pm
Lyons Township Hall - Community Room
6404 Joliet Road, Countryside, IL 60525
Presentations typically last twenty minutes and provide all the required materials. After the presentation, Board of Review staff will be available for individual questions, and residents can file an appeal at the seminar.
After a taxpayer files the one-page complaint, the Cook County Review Board will analyze comparable properties to determine if the property is assessed at too high a value. Taxpayers may also present an appraisal, comparable properties, or any other evidence showing the fair market value of their property. There is no fee to appeal to the Board of Review.
If taxpayers are unable to attend an outreach, the Cook County Board of Review is pleased to continue to offer online filing at: www.CookCountyBoardOfReview.com.
