Registration is now underway for the Recreation Department’s Summer Youth Basketball League for those entering 4th or 5th grade in the fall 2014. There is one program for boys and another for girls. Game times will be at 6 or 7 pm (depending upon the schedule) on Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday at the WS Recreation Center. Games begin June 17 and end July 31. The program will improve basketball skills, develop friendships, emphasis sportsmanship, and positively impact the child’s physical stamina. Pre-registration is required. Registration form is available at www.wsprings.com/recreation. The fee is $70 (resident) and the deadline is May 20. Players must attend a skill evaluation clinic either May 29 or June 2. Volunteer coaches are needed. A Coaches Organizational meeting is scheduled Tuesday, May 20, 6:30 pm.
