[ARCHIVED] Sewer Televising in Ridgewood Subdivision Begins Today

United Septic Inc., the contractor that was awarded the 2015 Sewer Televising project contract, will begin work today in Ridgewood. The project encompasses the cleaning and televising of all sanitary and storm sewer in the subdivision. Crews will be using a large van and vactor truck for the project. They have informed staff that there will flashing lights on the vehicles as well as barricades on the sides of the road to inform the public that they are performing work in the area.

The sewer televising project is not normally disruptive. In rare cases, the cleaning of the sanitary sewer main can result in strange bubbling sounds from residential drains. Additionally, there are some portions of Ridgewood where the storm sewers run through an easement in backyards. These locations are as follows: Between Park Lane and Longmeadow Lane, between Oak Lane and Linden Lane, and between Linden Court and Ridgewood Oaks. Crews will be using a small hand propelled machine to access these areas if they need to. They will be knocking on doors to notify you if they will be entering your rear yards.
