The pedestrian crossing located at Ogden Avenue and Woodland Avenue is temporarily out of service due to an equipment failure.
Replacement parts are currently on order, but pedestrians are advised to cross Ogden Avenue with EXTREME caution. The Municipal Services Department recommends that residents temporarily drive and park in Bemis Woods if at all possible until the repair of the crossing signal can be completed.
Updated 04/25/16 - Replacement equipment for the crossing has been ordered with an expected delivery time of approximately May 23rd. This past winter the Village noticed the crossing equipment malfunctioning. The original manufacturer of the equipment is no longer in business and the design and purchase for new equipment needed to be coordinated with a new manufacturer. Once approved by IDOT the new crossing equipment will be installed shortly after delivery.
