What are the noise restrictions in the Village?

The Village limits the use of heavy construction and lawn maintenance equipment during the overnight and early morning hours. Snow blowers are not restricted. Heavy construction equipment, including bulldozers, jackhammers, pile drivers, cement mixers, tractors, and other power equipment, may be used: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Construction equipment may not be used on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The Community Development Department addresses construction noise violations. 

Lawn maintenance equipment may be used: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. If there is a noise violation in your neighborhood, please call the Police nonemergency number at (708) 246-8540.
